European Christian Environmental Network facilitates cooperation in eco-management, 21 April 2015
On 16 and 17 April, ECEN members focussed on coordinating efforts for practical climate justice work at the grassroots level. The workshop followed up on the 2012-2014 ECEN twinning partnership programme. The programme included six partnerships between churches from central and eastern Europe with ones from western Europe. This cooperation facilitated exchange of experience and coordination of work on care for creation, especially eco-management.
The event saw participation from potential partners from 10 different countries interested in the next stage of the twinning project. The workshop helped clarify the environmental activities of different churches and laid common ground for future partnerships.
The workshop took place in Heidelberg (Germany) at the Protestant Institute for Interdisciplinary Research.
