Maria Kozhinova is a young communications specialist, based in Helsinki. Maria came to ECEN through the World Student Christian Federation - Europe, which sent her as their representative to the 2016 ECEN General Assembly. There she joined the ECEN Enabling Team, and from early 2017 her task was to keep track on ECEN digital communication and to improve the ECEN reach to its members.
Maria is passionate about trees, biodiversity, big mammals and vegetarianism. Her favourite thing is to go (city)-hiking with her rescue dog. Her most important environmental project is Greenopolis, which she started in 2015 while living and working in Romania, and which got awarded the Environmental Project of the Year Award at 2015 Romanian National Volunteer Gala.
Maria is hoping to create a digital space where all ECEN members feel welcome to share their ideas, news and opinions on ECEN topics. She is currently developing a regular ECEN newsletter, assisting in creating the new ECEN website, and keeps an eye on ECEN social media channels.
